述曰：下三宗之法，因如前說三種之因。或一一因皆成三法；或三種因各各別成。如次、逆次、超間、合二，准作可知。若與根等類別為因既有同喻，即言類別為因亦成。既有四因，此遮六識非可熏義。

The Commentary states: The [three] probanda of the three theses below have reasons like the three kinds of reasons stated before. Either each single reason establishes all three probanda, or the three kinds of reasons each separately establish them. In direct order, reverse order, skipping intervals, or combining pairs, they may be understood by applying this principle. If differentiated category with the sense-faculties and the like is made a reason, since there is a concordant example, to say that differentiated category is the reason is also established. Since there are four reasons, this refutes the sense that the six consciousnesses can be perfumed.
