述曰：設縱類無記，異其善等心。此不斷故故可熏者，如五位無心時此類定無，是識類故。如識間斷，性非堅住，故不可執持種受熏。此二比量義准前成，《攝論》同也。

The Commentary states: Even granting that the category is indeterminate and distinct from wholesome minds and so forth, and that because it is uninterrupted it can be perfumed, yet in the five states of mindlessness this category definitely does not exist, because it is the category of consciousness. Like consciousness, it is interrupted and its nature does not firmly persist; therefore, it cannot be grasped as holding seeds and receiving perfuming. These two inferences are implicitly established based on what came before; the Mahāyānasaṃgraha is also identical.
