述曰：持種等心是此第八，即八證中第四種子證，及《攝論》第二熏習中；及安立本識第三中義。

The Commentary states: The mind that upholds seeds and so forth is this eighth consciousness; this is precisely the fourth proof from seeds among the eight proofs, and in the second section on perfuming in the *Mahāyānasaṃgraha*, as well as the meaning in the third section on establishing the fundamental consciousness.
