述曰：即第四遮。此初因簡，前數成故，更無比量。然此四因，非但一一別簡，共簡非是業果，具四義者是業果故。是第七識非共有故，此中不簡。然入第三恒中，以入地有轉易故；入滅定等有間斷故；非業果故。無性之人第七非業果也，此下所簡彼心所法亦在彼中，隨所餘生即屬彼故；此中言王意并臣故。

The Commentary states: This is the fourth exclusion. This is the exclusion by the first reason; since it was established many times previously, no further syllogism is presented. However, these four reasons do not merely exclude each individually; together they exclude what is not a karmic fruit, for what possesses the four characteristics is a karmic fruit. The seventh consciousness is not common [to all schools], so it is not excluded here. However, it enters into the third [reason], constancy, because upon entering the [bodhisattva] grounds there is transformation; upon entering the absorption of cessation, etc., there is interruption; and because it is not a karmic fruit. For persons without [the Buddha-]nature, the seventh is not a karmic fruit. In what is excluded below, its mental factors are also included therein, for according to what remains of birth, they belong to it; here the king is mentioned along with his ministers.
