Language
Classical Chinese

4.405

The Commentary states: The five consciousnesses have distinct bases. If they could appropriate, then at times when consciousness is absent, cold should arise in the body. If the body-consciousness could universally appropriate, [that fails because] it sometimes does not operate; and when gradually dying, there are also cases where the five consciousnesses are abandoned first.
