述曰：上來破世，下別破法，此正破彼宗。薩婆多云：定前久心非是食性，隣入定心正是食體。與無心位有情為食，亦名食住。

The Commentary states: Above, the time periods were refuted; below, the specific phenomenon is refuted; this directly refutes their school. The Sarvāstivādin says: 'A consciousness long before the absorption does not possess the nature of nutriment, but the consciousness immediately adjacent to entering absorption is precisely the substance of nutriment. It serves as nutriment for sentient beings in the mindless state, so this is also called subsisting on nutriment.'
