述曰：不然，住無心時已滅無，故現在無食，過去非食已極成故；說非現、常，如空花故；要現在識方名食故。此無性釋，餘世親釋。

The Commentary states: This is not correct: because while abiding in mindlessness, it has already ceased and is non-existent, there is no present nutriment, and it has already been established that the past is not nutriment; because it was stated to be neither present nor permanent, like a sky-flower; because only a present consciousness is called nutriment. This is Asvabhāva's explanation; the rest is Vasubandhu's explanation.
