述曰：假法非食，如瓶、盆等。又前難無想等為食，後難以命根等為食。無性釋云：心、心所滅亦非是食，但有此中無想定等，無命根等。上來破薩婆多訖，自下第三上座部師救云。

The Commentary states: Nominal dharmas are not nutriment, like jars, basins, and so forth. Furthermore, the former objected to taking non-conception and so forth as nutriment, and the latter objected to taking the life faculty and so forth as nutriment. Asvabhāva's commentary states: 'The cessation of citta and caitasikas is also not nutriment, but here there are only the absorption of non-conception and so forth, not the life faculty and so forth.' Up to here, the refutation of the Sarvāstivādins is concluded. Below is the third part, where the master of the Sthavira school offers a rescue, saying:
