述曰：諸識不並，生上二界起無漏心時以何為食？下界可然，有段食故。無漏識等非彼之食，破壞有故。如涅槃等，非於彼界無漏是食。

The Commentary states: The various consciousnesses do not arise concurrently; when born into the two higher realms and arousing an anāsrava mind, what serves as nutriment? In the lower realm that may be so, because there is material nutriment. An anāsrava consciousness and so forth are not nutriment for that [existence], because they destroy existence. Like nirvāṇa and so forth, an anāsrava [consciousness] is not nutriment in those realms.
