述曰：此但破經部。汝又若言：無漏識中有有漏種，即以無漏為彼食體。此亦不然，無漏識等不能為食；不能執持有漏種故；如涅槃等。若言：此因有隨一失，我許執持有漏種故。應立宗言：無漏之識，不得執持有漏種子；是無漏故；如涅槃等。

The Commentary states: This only refutes the Sautrāntikas. If you say further: 'Because there are sāsrava seeds within the anāsrava consciousness, the anāsrava is taken as the substance of that nutriment.' This is also not so: an anāsrava consciousness and so forth cannot serve as nutriment; because they cannot hold and maintain sāsrava seeds; like nirvāṇa and so forth. If it is said: 'This reason has the fallacy of being unaccepted by one party (anyatarāsiddha), for I grant that it holds and maintains sāsrava seeds.' One should formulate the thesis: An anāsrava consciousness cannot hold and maintain sāsrava seeds (thesis); because it is anāsrava (reason); like nirvāṇa and so forth (example).
