The Commentary states: If the ālayavijñāna exists, it is the true vipāka and therefore exists at all times. You lack the fundamental consciousness, so in this state the vipāka consciousness is interrupted; once the vipāka is interrupted, apart from taking another birth there is no rebirth, which is identical to the Mahāyānasaṃgraha. The inference is: After emerging from the attainment of cessation, it should be a rebirth; because you accept that the true vipāka consciousness is reborn after being interrupted; like another body that is reborn. Furthermore, the vipāka mind, having been interrupted, should not continue; because it is subsumed under vipāka; like vipāka form. Although the vipāka of the six consciousnesses may arise after being interrupted, we ourselves maintain that they are not the true vipāka. Although they are accepted by the other as true vipāka dharmas, they are not mutually accepted by this school, so there is no fault of inconclusiveness (anaikāntika).
