述曰：此總徵也。不問餘識相應心所，故論言彼。自下別破，於中有二：初破有心所；二破無心所，二義俱是經部轉計。有心所中有七問答，初破中第一違經失。

The Commentary states: This is the general interrogation. It does not ask about caitasikas associated with other consciousnesses; therefore, the treatise says "[in] that [state]". From here below is the specific refutation, which contains two parts: first, refuting that caitasikas exist; second, refuting that caitasikas do not exist. Both propositions are secondary assertions of the Sautrāntika. Under [the proposition that] caitasikas exist, there are seven questions and answers. The first in this refutation is the error of contradicting the sūtras.
