4.594

述曰：自下第六經部救言。如言受緣愛，非一切受皆能起愛，無漏善受不起愛故。故觸緣受，應如於愛非一切觸皆能起受，此位有觸無受生故。由斯理齊故，前所難理不成立。次下第七論主破之。

The Commentary states: From here below, the sixth, the Sautrāntika rescues [its position], saying: Just as it is said that vedanā is the condition for tṛṣṇā, yet not all vedanā can give rise to tṛṣṇā, because anāsrava wholesome vedanā does not give rise to tṛṣṇā; so sparśa being the condition for vedanā should be like that toward tṛṣṇā: not all sparśa can give rise to vedanā, since in this state sparśa exists without vedanā arising. Because these principles are parallel, the principle previously objected to is not established. Next below, the seventh, the author of the treatise refutes it.
