The Commentary states: Since contact is not absent, contact must condition feeling, conception, and volition. Therefore, it must definitely be associated [with them]; how could it be said that there are no mental factors in that [attainment]? Since this is how it is according to the sūtra. The Karmasiddhiprakaraṇa also states that in the Daśapraśna-sūtra, the aggregates of feeling, conception, and conditioning factors are all conditioned by contact; how could there be the coming together of the three and consciousness, yet no mental factors, as inferred by comparison with other states?
