4.656

述曰：此心必與善根等相應；是相應善心故；如餘位善心。為例既多，寧說此心獨無心所？心所無故心亦應無；一切心所皆非有故；如涅槃等。

The Commentary states: This mind must be associated with wholesome roots and so on, because it is a wholesome mind by association, like wholesome minds in other states. Since there are many such analogies, why say that this mind alone lacks mental factors? Because mental factors are absent, mind should also be absent, because all mental factors do not exist, like nirvāṇa and so forth.
