述曰：此下第三論主總結歸正義。眼等轉識於此定位非不離身，實離身故。契經所言不離身識，即是第八。

The Commentary states: Next, in the third section, the author of the treatise concludes by returning to the correct doctrine. The functioning consciousnesses (pravṛtti-vijñāna), such as the visual consciousness, do not remain unseparated from the body in this state; they are truly separated from the body. The consciousness that does not leave the body spoken of in the sūtras is precisely the eighth [consciousness].
