述曰：經部若言餘色等中持彼種故，往還等惑起以此為因者，理亦不然。餘色等法、無染心等，不能持彼有漏種子；非第八識故；如色聲等。

The Commentary states: If the Sautrāntika says that other [dharmas such as] matter hold those seeds, so that the arising of defilements upon transitioning, etc., takes this as its cause, that reason is also incorrect. Other dharmas such as matter, undefiled minds, and so forth cannot hold those contaminated seeds; because they are not the eighth consciousness; just like visible form, sound, and so forth.
