述曰：又種與芽初時俱有，後漸增長相生。展轉可為異時，初生之時同念轉故；又如青蓮根生芽必俱故；又如影生等。又汝所說種滅芽生是因緣者，此非極成，我不許故。

The Commentary states: Furthermore, seed and sprout are initially simultaneous, and only later grow and produce each other successively. Gradually they may be at different times, but at the initial moment of arising they operate in the same moment; moreover, just as the root of a blue lotus producing a sprout is necessarily simultaneous; and just as the arising of a shadow, and so forth. Furthermore, your assertion that the seed ceasing and the sprout arising is a causal condition is not universally established, because I do not accept it.
