述曰：《攝論》第二，六義中說：種子與果必俱時，故定非前後。應生分別，至下斷惑轉依中敘。然異念生，如前第二卷破異時因果中說，同時無妨。問：如《勝義七十論》異時因果，如何會釋？答：非但彼處。

[The Commentary states:] In the second fascicle of the Mahāyānasaṃgraha, among the six characteristics, it is stated: Because seeds and their fruits are necessarily simultaneous, they definitely cannot be sequential. The distinctions that should arise will be described below under 'severing afflictions and transforming the basis'. However, their arising in different moments, as explained earlier in Fascicle Two refuting cause and effect at different times, poses no obstacle to simultaneity. Question: How does one reconcile texts such as the Paramārthasaptatikā which speak of cause and effect at different times? Answer: It is not only that text.
