述曰：《觀所緣論》陳那菩薩所造，破小乘等心外境有，成所緣緣。彼有八頌，此第八頌，如下自解。釋頌功能亦如自種，各有三種：一、見分種；二、相分種；三、業種。准前解頌有三義配。

[The Commentary states:] The Ālambanaparīkṣā was composed by Bodhisattva Dignāga to refute the Hīnayāna and others who hold that objects exist outside the mind, thereby establishing the objective condition. That work has eight verses; this is the eighth verse, which will be explained below. The term 'capacity' in explaining the verse is also like 'own seeds', having three kinds: first, the seed of the darśanabhāga; second, the seed of the nimittabhāga; third, the seed of karma. Following the previous explanation, the verse can be matched to these three meanings.
