述曰：第五鼻、舌唯欲失，三根非五地失。鼻、舌識業唯欲界繫，眼、耳、身識業唯通二地故。此二、三識返難亦然，略而不述。

The Commentary states: Fifth, the fault that the nose and tongue would be exclusively desire-realm, and that the three faculties would not be bound to five stages. Karma for nose- and tongue-consciousness is bound solely to the desire realm, whereas karma for eye-, ear-, and body-consciousness pervades only two stages. Reversing the objection for these two and three consciousnesses is also like this; it is omitted and not detailed.
