述曰：何故許色眼識所變，不許五根為本識變？即迷本識及迷論文，謬執種子為五色根，以上破他。

The Commentary states: Why accept that form is transformed by eye-consciousness, but not accept that the five faculties are transformed by the fundamental consciousness? This is being confused about the fundamental consciousness and confused about the text of the treatise, erroneously grasping seeds as the five physical faculties. The above refutes the others.
