述曰：二總結正，其前五識各定有二依。謂五色根，增上緣攝。非如種子，及用第六，同時意依。《瑜伽》第三、七十六、五十五云：必俱故。七、八疎故，非與此力，故不名依。

The Commentary states: Second, generally concluding the correct view: The previous five consciousnesses each definitely have two supports. Namely, the five physical faculties, subsumed under the sovereign condition (adhipati-pratyaya)—not like seeds—and employing the sixth, the simultaneous mental support. Fascicles 3, 76, and 55 of the Yogācārabhūmi say: because they are necessarily simultaneous. The seventh and eighth are distant, so they do not give power to this; therefore they are not named supports.
