5.120

述曰：以開導依易故不說，唯言此依第八本識，餘二隱密所以說之。上來第二，解所依訖；次第三門，當解所緣，於中有二：初、結前問後，以發論端；第二、依頌隨別解釋。

[The Commentary states:] Because the opening-and-guiding support is easy, it is not mentioned; it merely says that it relies on the eighth basic consciousness, while the other two are obscure and therefore spoken of. Above is the second part, completing the explanation of the support. Next, the third section should explain the cognitive object (ālambana), in which there are two parts: first, concluding the preceding and asking about what follows in order to open the treatise; second, explaining sequentially according to the verse.
