述曰：自下別釋，於中復二：初總解；後別諍。此即初也。所依之「彼」，彼初能變。所緣之「彼」，彼此第七所依之識，意顯所依即是所緣，更非異彼。何以知者？

[The Commentary states:] Below is the separate explanation, which again contains two parts: first, a general explanation; then, specific disputes. This is the first. The 'that' of support refers to that first transformative consciousness. The 'that' of cognitive object refers to that consciousness upon which this seventh relies, intending to show that the support is identical to the cognitive object, not something different from it. How is this known?
