述曰：即違彼宗。難云：說種是實有，言種便成假；言識是實有，是識便非實。識既不然，故種非假。

[The Commentary states:] That is, it contradicts his school. The objection is: treatises say seeds are substantially existent, but if you say seeds, they become nominal; if you say consciousness is substantially existent, this consciousness would not be substantial. Since consciousness is not so, seeds are therefore not nominal.
