述曰：自下第三，解「并」等字。前頌中云「并我慢、我愛」，今解彼「并字」。謂頌「并」字，表慢、愛二法與見俱起。愛與慢俱起，今此通言，云表慢、愛有見。「慢俱」意遮薩婆多等無相應義，彼不許相應，各自力起。大乘相應，如下當解。

The Commentary states: From here down is the third [part], explaining words such as "and" (sam- / bīng). The preceding verse stated: "And with self-conceit and self-love"; here it explains that word "and". It means that the word "and" in the verse indicates that the two factors, conceit and love, arise together with [self-]view. Love arises together with conceit; here it speaks comprehensively, stating that it indicates conceit and love have [self-]view. The intention of "concomitant with conceit" is to exclude the lack of a sense of association in [the systems of] the Sarvāstivādins and others, for they do not accept [their] association, [holding that each] arises by its own power. In the Mahāyāna, they are associated, as will be explained below.
