自下別諍，有四師說，今此第一諸師共同，下有別者一一廣解。第一、因釋諸論相違，就此解，「餘」是觸等餘中。總有四說。

Below are distinct disputations, with four masters' positions; this first one is common to the various masters, and those below with differences will be explained in detail one by one. First, explaining the contradictions among treatises, within this interpretation where 'other' refers to what is other than contact and so forth, there are altogether four explanations.
