述曰：文意有二：初汎出遍染隨；後解此識俱。初中有四：一、標宗；二、引證；三、立理；四、會違。此即初也。

The Commentary states: The meaning of the text has two parts: first, setting forth generally the secondary afflictions that pervade defilement; second, explaining association with this consciousness. Within the first, there are four points: first, stating the thesis; second, citing proof; third, establishing the rationale; fourth, reconciling contradictions. This is the first.
