述曰：下顯識俱，有十八法，謂前九法及八隨惑，以別境惠，即我見故，如初師釋。忘念等法非別境為性，故不取別境數。

The Commentary states: Below is the explanation of its coexistence with consciousness: there are eighteen dharmas, namely the nine dharmas mentioned earlier and the eight secondary afflictions, taking the specific-object wisdom as identical with the view of self, as explained by the first master. Factors such as forgetfulness do not take specific-object factors as their nature, and therefore the specific-object factors are not taken.
