述曰：無別境四及善十一、根本六種、忿等十二，并不定四、邪欲、解二，及論三文不同所以，如前諸師綺互而說，依此褒貶。雖無論文定許八遍，今以諸論上下雜有致此推究。第三、總結。作如是說不違教、理。

The Commentary states: It lacks the other four specific-object factors, the eleven wholesome factors, the six root afflictions, the twelve [secondary afflictions] such as wrath, along with the four indeterminate factors and the two defiled factors of desire and resolution; and as for the reason why the three passages of the treatise differ, as the previous masters stated interchangeably, praise and criticism are based on this. Although no treatise text definitively accepts eight universals, now, because various treatises contain mixed accounts across their earlier and later portions, this investigation is conducted. Third, the general conclusion: Making such an explanation is not contrary to teaching or reasoning.
