述曰：解此因位心所，俱中文別有三：上第一，解染俱；第二，顯餘俱；此下第三，解五受俱。頌中以同初能變故，所以不說。今說有異，是故說之。於中有二：初問；後答。此初問也。此下諸說，非必別師，頗設異計後申正義。

The Commentary states: In explaining the conjoined mental factors of this causal state, the text has three distinct parts: above, the first part explained defiled co-presence; the second showed the remaining co-presence; below here, the third explains co-presence with the five feelings. In the verse, because it is identical to the first transformer, it was not mentioned. Now it is explained because there is a difference; therefore it is stated. Herein there are two parts: first, the question; second, the answer. This is the first question. The various explanations below are not necessarily those of different masters; rather, opposing positions are hypothetically set forth, and the correct doctrine is presented afterward.
