述曰：今以相應顯心是染，性非染故。初釋有覆名，如第八識中解，梵云「昵佛栗多」，此云有覆。言隱沒者，不善言故。餘文可知。

The Commentary states: Here, through association, the mind is shown to be defiled, for its own nature is not defiled. First, the term "obstructed" is explained, as in the explanation of the eighth consciousness. In Sanskrit it is nivṛta, which is translated here as "obstructed." "Obscured" refers to unwholesome words. The remaining text is easily understood.
