述曰：彼言有學出世道現前，及無學位有漏、無漏第六意識，皆無第七依者，此等無染意，定有俱生不共所依，次第逆簡第八，及無間緣、種子等，宗也；是意識故，如有染時意識；論闕因也。下六證中自具作量，故此言略。

The Commentary states: As for their assertion that when the supramundane path of the learner manifests, and in the state of the non-learner, the sixth mental consciousness, whether with outflows or without outflows, lacks the seventh as a support: these undefiled mental consciousnesses definitely have a co-arising, uncommon support—successively and inversely distinguishing it from the eighth consciousness, the immediately preceding condition, seeds, and so forth—this is the thesis (pratijñā); because it is a mental consciousness, like the mental consciousness when defiled; the treatise omits the reason (hetu). In the six proofs below, the formal inference (prayoga) is fully formulated, so here the phrasing is brief.
