述曰：此難前說，滅定之中二乘無法執，大乘位中無淨第七者。論說恒與一識俱言，既非是恒，亦非是定，此位無故。前師說云此據多分，若不爾者，非定恒俱故。

The Commentary states: This challenges the earlier explanation that in the cessation attainment the two vehicles lack dharmagrāha and in the Great Vehicle state there is no pure seventh consciousness. The treatises say that it 'constantly operates simultaneously with one consciousness'; this would be neither constant nor definite, because it would not exist in this state. The previous master stated that this was spoken in terms of the majority; if not, it would not definitely and constantly operate together.
