述曰：此識唯在金剛心中，此有二說如前已解。此位之前得二智故，故此時第八以六、七為依，餘時無故。

The Commentary states: This vijñāna exists only in the vajropama-samādhi; regarding this there are two explanations, as explained previously. Before this stage one has obtained the two wisdoms; therefore at this time the eighth takes the sixth and seventh as basis, because at other times they are absent.
