述曰：又難。如凡夫等未證人空人執恒行。二乘人等未證法空。法執亦應恒現前有。為例均故。若此識無。法執恒行依於何識。二乘定有故。

The Commentary states: Another challenge. Just as ordinary beings and the like who have not realized the emptiness of persons have the personal grasping constantly operating; so too for followers of the two vehicles and others who have not realized the emptiness of phenomena, dharmagrāha should also be constantly present before them. This is because the analogy is completely parallel. If this [seventh] consciousness did not exist, upon what consciousness would this constantly operating dharmagrāha depend? For followers of the two vehicles definitely possess it.
