述曰：二乘聖道。及滅定位，法執有故，此第七識恒行不絕，未證法空故。意顯廻心、頓悟人等入初地已，分證法空，有此淨智。

The Commentary states: In the Noble Path and the state of the attainment of cessation of the two vehicles, because dharmagrāha exists, this seventh consciousness operates constantly without interruption, as they have not yet realized the emptiness of phenomena. The intention is to reveal that for those who turn their minds [to the Mahāyāna] and those of sudden awakening, once they enter the first bhūmi, they partially realize the emptiness of phenomena, and this pure wisdom is present.
