述曰：上來依頌第十門中，已略分別伏斷位訖。自下第二，因乘義解分位行相。於中有三：初標分位行相差別之數；次列其名；後隨別釋。此即初也。

The Commentary states: Above, following the tenth section of the verses, the brief classification of the stages of subduing and severing was concluded. From here on is the second part: taking occasion from the doctrine to explain the states and ākāras. Herein there are three parts: first, stating the number of differences in states and ākāras; next, listing their names; and finally, explaining them individually. This is the first.
