述曰：此法執心緣異熟識起法我見，法我見位既長，異熟之心亦爾。見、相相當故說緣也，非人執心不緣異熟，異熟位長故不說彼，非法執心不緣賴耶，賴耶短故不說之也。

The Commentary states: This mind of dharmagrāha takes the vipākavijñāna as object and gives rise to the view of a self in phenomena. Since the stage of the view of a self in phenomena is long, the mind that is vipāka is also like that. Because the viewing aspect and the objective image correspond to each other, it is said to take it as object. It is not that the mind of personal grasping does not take vipāka as object, but because the stage of vipāka is longer, it is not mentioned there; nor is it that the mind of dharmagrāha does not take the ālaya as object, but because the ālaya is shorter, it is not mentioned here.
