述曰：大小異也。然第七識恒行不共，餘部所無，唯大乘有。今以聖教逼之令信「獨行不共」，大乘小教，「此彼俱有」。

The Commentary states: Differences between Mahāyāna and Hīnayāna. However, constantly-active unshared of the seventh consciousness is absent in other schools and exists only in the Mahāyāna. Now, pressing them with the sacred teaching forces them to believe in 'solitary-active unshared', which exists in both the Mahāyāna and Hīnayāna teachings, 'both in this and in that'.
