5.619

述曰：破中有四，初總破薩婆多等。初句是喻；下簡次第滅意，反現本識、因緣所依。逆次第配，此為宗法。

The Commentary states: In the refutation there are four parts: first, a general refutation of the Sarvāstivādins and others. The first clause is an analogy; below it excludes the immediately preceding destroyed manas, and conversely reveals the fundamental consciousness and the support as cause and condition. Arranging them in reverse order, this is the thesis.
