述曰：於中有三：初總非前；次申其義；後總結正。即初文也，此護法釋。所以者何？
The Commentary states: In this there are three parts: first, a general repudiation of the former [view]; next, an explanation of its own thesis; and finally, a general conclusion of what is correct. This is the first passage; this is Dharmapāla's explanation. Why is that?
