述曰：第三，總結。故有第七於彼起我執，是異生故。出定已後，復沈生死，起諸煩惱，聖賢所訶。若無第七，不應訶彼，無過失定。

The Commentary states: Third, general conclusion. Therefore, there is a seventh [consciousness] that gives rise to ātmagrāha in that [state], because they are ordinary beings. After emerging from meditative absorption, they sink back into saṃsāra and give rise to defilements, which are detested by the noble and wise. If there were no seventh [consciousness], they should not detest and disparage that [state], which would be a faultless meditative absorption.
