述曰：異生三種既然，有學亦爾。有煩惱俱，故第七未滅，餘識之中必無煩惱與善俱故。為會前疑。

The Commentary states: If this is so for the three types of ordinary beings, it is also true for trainees. Since afflictions co-arise [with them], as long as the seventh [consciousness] is not eliminated, within the remaining consciousnesses there can certainly be no afflictions co-arising with the wholesome. This resolves the previous doubt.
