述曰：此違順益、損，其義易知，體非殊勝不可記別，即是第一，解三性名已。次顯識俱。今依大乘，亦得三性，各有四種，諸論總收亦有此義，於理不違，故別建立，如前已說。

The Commentary states: This obstruction or compliance with benefit and detriment—its meaning is easy to understand. Its essence is not distinctive, so it cannot be designated [as wholesome or unwholesome]. This concludes the first part, having explained the names of the three natures. Next, it shows the associations of consciousness. Now, according to the Mahāyāna, the three natures can each have four kinds; when the treatises synthesize them, they also contain this meaning, which does not contradict reason, so they are established separately as explained above.
