述曰：此中第一。文有三：一、標；二、證；三、結。此意唯有憂，唯分別故。下引證云：諸聖教說，意識相應所有慼受，皆名憂故。此長徒義。若言地獄意有苦者，何故不說？

The Commentary states: Here is the first [position]. The text has three parts: first, stating the thesis; second, citing proof; third, concluding. This mental [consciousness] has exclusively sorrow, because it is purely conceptual. Below, citing proof, it states: All sacred teachings say that any sad sensation associated with the mental consciousness is called sorrow. This is the common view. If one says that the mind in hell has pain, why is this not stated?
