The Commentary states: This is the second explanation: or, objects of contemplation mostly have concentration and wisdom concurrent. Although this foolish person lacks the mental factor of wisdom, following the majority of others, the object of concentration is called 'an object of contemplation.' Just as in the desire realm, the gods who forget through play, because of excessive indulgence and attachment, focus intently on a single object; and the gods corrupted by anger glare at each other with sidelong glances, concentrating their minds to the point of death. Moreover, some give rise to greed, or anger toward others, and so forth, having only concentrated focus without discernment, also because of a predominance of delusion; their kinds are not one. For those with such great delusion and darkness, because there is only concentration, one concentration arises toward what is contemplated.
