述曰：此釋佛地有欲無減等，其文可知。然佛五識不同凡夫，許佛亦緣三世起，故知有念緣曾受境體，非如因中唯念境類。佛地五識有作事智，故知有惠，《莊嚴論》等說故。

The Commentary states: This explains that on the Buddha-ground desire does not diminish, and so on; the text is clear. However, the Buddha's five consciousnesses are unlike those of ordinary beings: it is accepted that the Buddha's [five consciousnesses] also arise taking the three time periods as object, and thus we know that he has mindfulness that takes the substance of previously experienced objects as its object, unlike the causal stage which is mindful only of types of objects. On the Buddha-ground, the five consciousnesses possess the wisdom of accomplishing actions; thus we know that they possess discernment, as stated in the Mahāyāna-sūtrālaṃkāra and elsewhere.
