述曰：為顯善品有勝功能，增長善故，斷不善根故，如煩惱中見用增勝，故別說之。

The Commentary states: In order to show that it has superior function in the category of the wholesome, because it increases the wholesome and severs the unwholesome roots—just as view (dṛṣṭi) among the afflictions has augmented and superior function and is therefore stated separately.
